Dear Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Mr. Tyler Crawford. This is my third
year teaching Pre-K. Prior to becoming a lead Pre K teacher, I
student taught in 1st grade and worked with special needs children at Towns County Elementary School in Hiawassee, Georgia. Furthermore, I spent multiple internship hours working with Cornelia Elementary School, Wauka Mountain Multiple Intelligences Academy, Jack P. Nix Primary, White County Intermediate, and Challenged Child. How did I get Here? In May of 2008 I graduated from Union County High School. I went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and a classroom teacher of reading endorsement from Truett McConnell College in Cleveland, Georgia. I obtained my Master of Arts degree and Gifted Endorsement from Piedmont College with further education and training at Georgia State University. At this time, I am working on my Education Specialist Degree from Piedmont College. My passion is definitely being a teacher. I love helping students reach their full potential and strive for their best.
On a more personal note, I enjoy traveling, reading, playing the piano, and learning
new things about education.
I look forward to working with your child, but also with you.
I believe strong communication between the school and home is
imperative to the success of your child. Please do not forget the importance of
home learning assignments and reading daily with your child. Also, please keep updated
with our weekly newsletter and website (http://crawfordprek.weebly.com).
Together we can make this a year of growth and excitement for your child.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me at [email protected],
or send me notes in your child’s folder. I will check both of these daily.
Thank you in advance for all your hard work and dedication to the success of your
child.
Sincerely,
Mr. Tyler Crawford
